Dr. Yair Margalit  

Dr. Yair Margalit

Ex-scientist (physical chemist). He worked for many years as a researcher until he quit his scientific activities and started a second phase of life as grape grower and wine producer. Also, Yair is the winery manager. He still maintains his academic links by teaching winemaking technology and wine chemistry at the Faculty of Food Engineering at the Israel Institute of Technology, the "Technion".
He wrote three books, which are used worldwide as textbooks in the wine industry and in the academic studies of enology and winemaking. The books are:

“Small Winery Operation” (1990)
“Concepts in Wine Chemistry” (1997)
"Concepts in Wine Technology" (2004)

Asaf Margalit  

Asaf Margalit

Began to make wine in his childhood, when he participated in his father’s winemaking experiments at home backyard. He graduated from the Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot where he studied food sciences. This was followed by gaining experience at Jekel Vineyards in California and professional study tours at many California wineries. Asaf is the winemaker and also he lectures on wine production at the winemaking school at Tel-Hai College.

Ramie Livne  

Ramie Livne

The third person in the team. A printer and graphics expert, who also changed his profession and turned to winemaking and wine education. Ramie was warmly “adopted” by Margalit Winery to make the wine with Asaf. Ramie also lectures wine tasting courses for the general public and at the winemaking school at Tel-Hai College.
